Free admission and free parking, but if you want to purchase food or something from a craft vendor, you would need to pay for that.

The library is open to vendors, costumed characters, and volunteers only, There isn’t any way we can be in the library and host the festival at the same time.

Yes, there are no stairs or uneven ground at the event. There are two handicapped spaces at the library and if you need assistance, we have a number you can call and someone will meet you wherever you park with a golf cart to assist you to the festival grounds. We also have a handicapped Port-a-let.

Eight Port-a-lets are located on the west side of the parking lot and one of them is handicapped accessible.

No, but you will need to come in to the event space through the castle to pick up a free ticket for the Enchanted Forest.

The Vermont Fairy Tale Festival takes place on the third Saturday of September from 10-4 in the 6 acres behind the Sherburne Library, 2998 River Road, Killington, VT. 

We can always use great volunteers! If you’re interested in helping out with the event, send an email to sherburnememorial@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you asap. All volunteers will need to be vetted to work with children.

There is parking on the left side of River Road, at the Library and at the Rec Center. There is also parking across the street from the Library at the Town Garage. Please do not park inside the gate at the transfer station. That gate closes early on Saturday and will not reopen until the following Monday. Signs will be posted. There is no fee to park.

Yes, as long as they are leashed and under control at all times.

Feel free to bring a picnic lunch if you like, just be sure that garbage is placed in the bins available. No alcohol beverages will be allowed at the event and none will be for sale.

Donations are what fuels the Vermont Fairy Tale Festival and can be made to Sherburne Memorial Library and earmarked for the festival. We accept cash, checks, and you can donate with a credit card on the library website. www.sherburnelibrary.org The festival is made possible by kind donations every year, with no funds coming from the library general budget.
